Status and governance
Air is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales as Richmondshire Arts Development Agency number 4496245.
Our Board consists entirely of unpaid volunteers from a wide range of specialist backgrounds, including arts venue management, creative consultancy, publishing, marketing, and local government. Representatives of the Arts Council, District Council and County Council also attend in an advisory capacity.
Our board members are:
Nicholas Reckert (Chairman), Gillian Howells (Company Secretary), Katherine Carr, Jude Simpson, Richard Jones, Cllr. Clive World.
Co-opted members acting in an advisory capacity are:
Cllr. Jimmy Wilson-Petch, Jo-Anne Simpson (Richmondshire District Council), Pete Massey (Arts Council England), Gillian Wall (North Yorkshire County Council)
Funders
Air is a Regularly Funded Organisation (RFO) of Arts Council England (Yorkshire), and receives core funding from Richmondshire District Council. We also receive project funding currently from a number of organisations; North Yorkshire County Council's Community Fund, Awards For All, Richmondshire District Youth Council, Arts Council England
Air is committed to generating as much as possible of its operating funds from its own activities.
